One of our favorite projects to date. This home was in excellent condition but had dated cabinets and appliances and hardwood floors that had an orange glow. We transformed this kitchen with custom inset cabinets. To break up the monotony of all the upper cabinets, we went with floating shelves planking the custom hood cover. We were able to add additional storage with a large pantry cabinet with roll out drawers.

The tone of natural wood on the island, floating shelves and hood cover beautifully complimented the rich green cabinets.  To keep consistency, we used all gold hardware matched with the pendant lights and faucet. This transformation with accomplished on a larger budget that allowed us to create a stunning modern custom kitchen.

This 1895 Victorian home had not seen a kitchen update since metal cabinets were a design favorite. The kitchen kept the same layout without the peninsula. All new cabinets were added with antique brass hardware. Although the kitchen was small an island was added by using an off the shelf base and rounding the island countertop. To keep a cohesive design, the countertops and island were completed in a natural dolomite stone. A complimentary and timeless gray tile was used on the floors. To complete the design, an antique faucet was added and an above the stove spice rack featuring an antique brass bar.

Built-in bookshelves are timeless, visually stunning and provide storage and display space for books, photos and other keepsakes. This book shelf was custom made for this space with careful craftsmanship to arch around the windows. Storage was added underneath each window with custom glass doors highlighted in Cane Webbing.

A marble surround was added around the fireplace with a ledge for small items and Christmas stockings. This was completed with a contrasting complimentary piece of landscape art. Custom built-ins can be costly and are usually reserved for large budgets, but with some creativity and off-the-shelf cabinetry, a version of this look can be created on a smaller budget.

A basement is an opportunity to create an entertainment area and add value to your home. This basement had an outdoor walkout that allowed us to create a charming indoor/outdoor living area. Although the transformation is eye-popping, it didn’t take much to convert this to a stunning entertainment area. We started by completing the drywall and finishing the floors. For the real stunner, we removed the left window and put in a 96 inch bifold door leading out to the inclosed patio and onto the pool and lake.

Inside we finished the walls in a faux grasscloth wallpaper that added texture and a soft color. We painted out all the trim and a few walls black bringing a striking contrast. The fireplace was completed with a rustic wood mantel and a built-in wine storage area. For the bar , we removed the shelving, put in two butcher block shelves and added a gorgeous complimentary wallpaper. To finish off, we added furnishings and a pool table for a real entertainment experience.

For this minor renovation, we made a small budget go a long way. The cabinets were in good shape, so we painted them in a calming blue and added new hardware. We removed the overhead storage area above the peninsula to open the space between the dining and kitchen. We also replaced the old laminate covered countertop with quartz countertops and added a new gold faucet. Adding a complimentary backsplash brought the space all together. In the dining and living area, we updated all the lighting and added a visually striking accent wall.

In the end we went on the hunt for sturdy modern furnishings that didn’t break the bank. These spaces emphasize a very big impact on a small budget.

Our client came to us with a very small budget and a strong desire to personalize her bedroom. She asked for a bohemian feel with natural colors. We did just that by framing out the wall trim, adding complementary art and rattan overhang scones. With just a little prep work and a few hours time, we delivered exactly what she asked for without exceeding the budget.
